Role of the York and North Yorkshire Partnership Unit
The role of the York and North Yorkshire Partnership centres on the tasks
below.
Sub regional co-ordination - including joint work on:

Promoting
effective partnership working

Co-ordinating
activity on skills, business support, culture and tourism

Maximising the
utilisation of funding available within the sub region

Complementing
Leeds City region activity

Research and
intelligence analysis, including support for economic assessments
County of North Yorkshire - The sub regional partnership performs
specific roles in partnership with the local authorities and other partners in
North Yorkshire and acts as the economic thematic partnership for the North
Yorkshire Strategic Partnership (NYSP). This directly involves:

Advice and
support on economy and skills issues to the NYSP

monitoring LAA targets

North Yorkshire economic assessment
