Cultural Partnership and 2012
The Cultural Partnership was set up to bring together organisations involved
in culture across the sub-region. It includes representatives from local
authorities, art, sport, heritage and tourism, businesses, education and skills.
The Cultural Partnerships ambitions include:

To have a strong, sustainable and culturally vibrant sub-region

To transform the image of York and North Yorkshire by maximising
opportunities for outdoor adventure and increased sporting activity

To have a vibrant and strong cultural and creative industries
sector

To ensure that all sections of the community of York and North
Yorkshire have access to high quality cultural and sporting activities

To use the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games to inspire
York and North Yorkshire
