you can approach your local economic development unit at your
local authority for advice or try the following links:
Local
Infrastructure Organisations can support voluntary and
community organisations in York and North Yorkshire by providing
advice and guidance on funding issues. LIOs can assist
organisations to search for sources of funding and provide
guidance with writing quality funding applications. In depth
support is also available through assistance with funding
strategies and advice on sustainability issues.
Grant
Net service (available via North Yorkshire County Council's
website) is a user friendly service which has been devised to
assist public, private sector, voluntary and community
organisations in identifying funding sources available for
specific projects. It contains the most comprehensive and
up-to-date database of grants, loans and other initiatives
operating in the UK.
Business Link offer a Grants and Support Directory which
allows you to search for potential sources of help with starting
up or business development. The database contains grant
and support schemes from central and local government as well as
private organisations.
Government
Funding - an online portal for the voluntary and community
sector on funding from government departments
DEFRA Rural, Social and Community Programme (RSCP) -
the RSCP provides support for rural voluntary and community
organisations to improve services and tackle disadvantage in

Rural Funding from Yorkshire Forward - the PSA4
programme supports projects aiming to improve access to services
in rural areas, and to develop the rural economy. The programme
is managed by North Yorkshire County Council.
