French
Jonathan's
responsibilities in YNYPU are to:

Manage the
Unit
-
Provide
secretariat to the York and North Yorkshire Development Board and Partnership Executive who are
responsible for leading the sub region’s work on economic and
community development
-
Specifically lead
work on the Sub Regional
Investment Plan, which seeks to coordinate European, national and
local government funding for economic and community development around
a common strategy and mutually agreed priorities.
Jonathan is
seconded from North Yorkshire County Council, where up until 2002, he was
Head of Economic Development.

Andrew
Leeming
Andrew's responsibilities in YNYPU are to:
- Manage the Partnership Unit's role in research and maximising the
benefits of funding programmes in York and North Yorkshire, in
particular the Objective 2 and Objective 3 Programmes
- Lead on specific areas of partnership and strategy development,
through the Sub Regional Investment Planning process
- Deputise for the Executive Manager
Andrew is seconded from Ryedale District Council where
he previously undertook the role of Economic Development manager, heading
up the Tourism and Economic Development function at the Council.

Susan
Christie
Susan's responsibilities in YNYPU are to:
- Manage the operation of the office and the financial administration
of the Unit
- Support other staff in the Unit through event management and
providing a secretariat function to a number of key partnerships that
the Unit is involved in
- Oversee health and safety and first-aid issues for the Unit
Susan is employed by North Yorkshire County Council. Prior to
joining the Partnership Unit, Susan qualified in Training Development and as a Trainer.
She also worked on behalf of a Telecoms company using publishing & graphic design packages
to produce booklets and more latterly, worked in a busy solicitors practice.

Jim
Pearse
Jim's
responsibilities in YNYPU are to:
- Provide advice and guidance on voluntary and community sector
project development and related issues
- Provide training on developing and submitting funding applications,
and administering projects for organisations and individuals working
in the voluntary and community sector
- Support voluntary and community sector participation in sub-regional
investment planning including providing a bridge between the voluntary
and community sector and the wider partnership in North Yorkshire
Jim
is the European Funding and Sub-regional Investment Planning Officer,
employed by the North Yorkshire Forum for Voluntary Organisations, and is
co-located at the Partnership Unit. Jim's post is part
funded by Objective 2 Technical Assistance and Yorkshire Forward. He
has been directly involved in community based regeneration activities, in
both rural and urban areas, developing and managing ESF, ERDF, LEADER and
SRB funded projects.

Chandler
Julie’s responsibilities in YNYPU are to:

Lead
and manage the North Yorkshire Learning Partnership (NYLP) in
conjunction with the Chairman

Ensure
the key targets and objectives of the NYLP are achieved

Develop
and sustain effective and inclusive partnership working with learning
providers, intermediaries and other key strategic partners
Julie is seconded to the Partnership Unit from North
Yorkshire County Council. Prior
to joining North Yorkshire, Julie worked in Humberside where she managed a
range of delivery contracts including Connexions, Nextstep and work
experience. Julie’s post is
funded by the Learning and Skills Council.

Jenny Birkinshaw
Jenny’s
responsibilities in YNYPU are to:
- Prepare
and manage the production of Progress in the Sub Region/City Region
publications which set out all the key data in a set of agreed
regional indicators;
- Analyse
research findings and data and presenting the results to partner
organisations;
- Provide
information and support to the Sub Regional/City Regional Data and
Intelligence Partnerships.
Jenny is employed by North Yorkshire County Council to provide the
research function for the Unit and Leeds City Region.
Jenny recently graduated from the University
of York.

Antonia’s

Emma Hoddinott
Emma's responsibilities in YNYPU are to:
- To effectively develop, deliver, manage and co-ordinate the Culture
and 2012 programme for York & North Yorkshire to ensure that this
sub region maximises the cultural and economic benefits from the London
Games and its cultural assets.
- To co-ordinate the work of the York & North Yorkshire Cultural
Strategy Partnership.
- To represent the sub region on matters relating to the 2012 Games at a
local, regional and national level.
Emma is employed by North Yorkshire County Council to provide the
secretariat function of the Cultural Partnership. Before joining the
Partnership Unit, Emma worked at the Learning and Skills Council.

Tania Weston
Tania's responsibilities in YNYPU are to:
- Advocate and promote the opportunities and benefits of the 2012
Olympic Games and its legacy within York and North Yorkshire.
- Provide assistance with funding to support and develop York and North
Yorkshire's creative industries, festivals and events and outdoor
adventure product.
- To develop and deliver actions and programmes set out within the
Outdoor Adventure Strategy for North Yorkshire.
Tania is employed by North Yorkshire County Council to provide the
secretariat function of the Cultural Partnership. Before joining the
Partnership Unit, Tania worked for English Heritage.
